About Cofoundra
Cofoundra is focused on building companies and developing practical business capability through real work. Our working environment combines business understanding, problem-solving, communication and judgement with modern systems and AI-enabled ways of working. People develop by contributing, learning from experience and taking increasing responsibility as their capability grows.
The opportunity
The Fast Track Business Leader Programme is designed to build practical business capability through hands-on experience.
As a Business Leadership Associate, you will contribute to live projects, systems and operational activity while developing your understanding of how organisations work, how decisions are made and how effective work gets delivered.
You will be expected to think, contribute, solve problems, take ownership and develop your judgement as your capability grows.
What you will do
As a Business Leadership Associate, you will work across a range of business activities, taking on practical responsibilities that grow with your capability. You will:
- contribute to live business projects and operational work;
- gather, organise and work with information to support decisions;
- help understand problems and develop practical solutions;
- work with business systems, processes and structured workflows;
- coordinate agreed actions and follow work through to completion;
- communicate clearly with colleagues and others involved in delivery;
- use modern technology and AI-enabled tools appropriately to support effective work;
- take ownership of agreed responsibilities and be accountable for the quality of your work; and
- take on broader responsibility as your capability, judgement and performance develop.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The exact work you are exposed to will vary as you progress through the programme and as business needs develop.
The programme is designed to develop future leadership capability, but it does not guarantee appointment to a particular future role or leadership position. Progression depends on demonstrated capability, performance and business requirements.
What we are looking for
We are looking for people with the potential to develop towards broader business leadership responsibility. Extensive previous management experience is not required.
We are particularly interested in:
- Drive & ownership — getting involved, taking responsibility and making things happen rather than waiting to be directed at every step.
- Judgement & problem-solving — thinking carefully about situations, understanding problems and working towards practical solutions.
- Accountability & follow-through — taking responsibility for the quality of your work and seeing agreed actions through.
- Communication & collaboration — expressing yourself clearly and working effectively with others.
- Learning & leadership potential — taking on new information, applying feedback and showing the potential to take on broader responsibility as your capability develops.

We are interested in what you can demonstrate, not whether you fit one conventional candidate profile.
Who can apply
The opportunity is open to people from different backgrounds. You may be a graduate, or you may have built your experience another way. A graduate qualification is not what determines suitability.
We are looking for relevant evidence of capability and potential.
Recruitment process
