Business Lecturer
Location: William College, City Office Park, Leeds, LS11 5BD
Salary: £38,500 - £46,000 per annum (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Schedule: (ON-SITE) Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Full Right to Work Status in the UK Required
Job Description
Join William College as a Business Lecturer and be at the forefront of higher education innovation. The person appointed will join a progressive team at William College and be involved in the delivery of a range of full-time programs, including Foundation year and full-degree courses in partnership with Birkbeck, University of London.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting, particularly Foundation year in Business and Human Resource Management.
- Offer appropriate support to students to enable them to achieve their goals and progress to positive destinations.
- Contribute to the development and continual improvement of courses, coordinating effectively with both staff and students.
- Plan and deliver subject-specific sessions in line with the learning outcomes and syllabuses of modules.
- Deploy assessments appropriately as set out by the module specification from our partner institution.
- Ensure the learning needs of students on their modules are met.
- Support students with timely formative and summative feedback on their assessments.
- Ensure that all expectations of the Programme Specification of respective Awarding Bodies and Universities under which modules are being taught are met.
- Produce appropriate module evaluation reports.
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds.

Competencies and Expertise
The successful applicant must demonstrate competence and experience in the area of business, leadership or human resource management.
Able to work on site at our Leeds campus.
Essential Requirements
- Master's degree in Business or a PhD in the relevant area.
- Teaching qualification: PGCHE, Masters in Education/Teaching & Learning, or FHEA, or equivalent.
- Previous teaching experience on similar courses at HE level.
- Confidence in working with online systems such as Moodle, Teams etc.
