I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role can be based in Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, or Germany. Regular travel across Central and Northern Europe is a natural part of the position as you work closely with customers, colleagues, and business partners across the region.
Profile
A strong commercial leader with experience from industrial sales, business development, technical products, or safety-related solutions thrives in this role. Experience from the forklift truck industry is advantageous but not required. Knowledge of working across international markets, driving growth strategies, and leading teams in a matrix organization is valuable. Experience combining strategic planning with operational execution is important, as is the ability to build credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders. Strong business acumen, financial understanding, and the ability to work with performance metrics are essential. Fluency in English is required, and additional European languages are considered an advantage.
Success comes from a genuine interest in people, business, and technology. A collaborative and inclusive leadership style creates trust and engagement across teams and markets. Curiosity, resilience, and a strong drive to create results help navigate a dynamic international environment. Equally important is the ability to communicate clearly, build long-term relationships, and inspire others around a shared vision while acting as a role model for Troax’s culture and values.
