Responsibilities
- Sales promotion of Evonik’s Coating Additives product portfolio within the Coatings and Inks industry for your assigned area
- Identification and development of new business opportunities
- Evaluation and negotiation of pricing updates with existing customers as required
- Preparation of sales forecasts and adjustment of strategies and plans to respond to market changes, product availability, and competition
- Development and monitoring of promotional activities, sampling programmes, and product trials to drive customer engagement
- Market trend analysis and competitor benchmarking, including formulation of tailored customer countermeasures
- Leadership of customer support and negotiation of supply agreements with all accounts across your region, collaborating closely with Key Account Management
- Regular reporting of sales and customer activities via designated platforms and tools
- Active involvement in the product and service complaint process
- Continuous monitoring of customer profitability and receivables performance

Requirements
- A degree in applied science, chemistry, or business management with strong chemical knowledge—alternatively, qualifications as a chemical technician or chemical engineer
- At least three years’ experience in technical sales to the Coatings and Inks industry, demonstrating industry affinity and a deep understanding of our coating additives portfolio
- Natural aptitude and passion for technical sales and the coatings sector
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (both oral and written)
- Proven ability to operate effectively both as an independent contributor and in a collaborative team—approachable, proactive, and entrepreneurial
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time nationally, as well as undertake occasional international assignments in Europe
