Business Management Team Role
Capula’s Business Management team report into the CIO and CEO and are responsible for ensuring that all projects across the firm are delivered seamlessly. The team works with all departments including Front Office, Technology, Operations, Risk, Product Control, Legal, and Compliance. This role will have a particular focus on our Fixed Income business, partnering closely with the Rates, FX, and Emerging Markets (EM) trading desks on their key strategic initiatives.
The team works on multiple projects including redesign of the strategic technology architect, onboarding new products and counterparties, and regulatory compliance projects, with a current emphasis on projects supporting the Rates, FX, and EM trading businesses. The incumbent will be able to learn from the Head of Business Management—project management skills and gain knowledge about how hedge funds work and the roles of the various functions within the organization, with particular depth in the fixed income space.
Duties
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ability to develop and utilize project management tools to ensure progress is tracked efficiently
- Measure performance effectively, deal with change within project scope, and escalate/manage this accordingly
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and third parties to get the best out of individuals and utilize their knowledge effectively
- Ensure all parties have a clear understanding of responsibilities and expectations placed upon them to avoid any risks
- Be able to pick up and understand the nuances of projects quickly and accurately, demonstrate a quick mind in absorbing new information such as product information
- Carry out other duties as may be reasonably required
- Build strong working relationships with the Rates, FX, and EM trading desks, developing a good working knowledge of fixed income products and how they are traded
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Education and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in an operations/business management role
- Fixed Income background, ideally with exposure to Rates, FX, and Emerging Markets (EM)
