RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive and expand the business across the UK & Ireland for the Business Lines Interface and Polyurethane Additives.
  • Build, strengthen and develop long-term customer partnerships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute country-specific growth strategies, including market expansion initiatives, market share objectives, revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and pricing strategies to maximize sustainable business growth.
  • Own sales planning, forecasting and opportunity management through CRM systems.
  • Manage receivables and working capital performance for assigned accounts and market segments, supporting overall financial objectives.
  • Actively engage and collaborate within a cross-functional team environment across the EMEA region.
  • Support strategy development and execute market segment and key account strategies in territory with support from Marketing and Technical colleagues.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activities and customer trends, providing actionable market intelligence and detailed market share insights.
  • Coordinate and facilitate management, customer and technical support visits from Headquarters to strengthen customer engagement and business development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical/commercial discipline.
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in sales within the chemical industry, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and customer development expertise.
  • Extensive experience in the polymer market across the UK & Ireland, ideally within the Construction, Adhesives, Polyurethane or Agrochemical sectors.
  • Well-established industry network and strong understanding of market dynamics within the relevant industries.
  • Experience working successfully in international and multicultural environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and a strong aptitude for quickly adopting new digital tools and systems.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with entrepreneurial thinking and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and teamwork capabilities, complemented by a proactive and solution-oriented working style.
  • High level of flexibility and willingness to travel extensively within the region (up to 60%) and occasionally on an international level.
