Business Manager – CEO Office Europe (gn)
Reports To: Chief of Strategy
Location: Munich (or any other HISCOX EU location)
Department: Strategy / CEO Office
The Role
It is an exciting time to be part of Hiscox Europe. Since opening our first European office in Paris in 1993, we have grown into a €700m+ business with ambitious plans for the future. We are investing in transformation, long-term strategic priorities and our people as we continue to build on our success across Europe.
To support this ambition, the European CEO Office is strengthening the way priorities are set, decisions are made and progress is tracked. This includes a clearer articulation of strategy, a more disciplined operating rhythm, stronger governance and more effective information flow across the European business.
The Business Manager will play a high-impact role at the centre of the European CEO Office, helping translate strategic priorities into clear action and ensuring the CEO, European Leadership Team (ELT) and key Group stakeholders are aligned on the most important business priorities. The role reports to the Chief of Strategy and will work closely with the European CEO, ELT and senior leaders across the business.
This is a role for someone who combines strategic judgement with strong execution discipline. You will need to be curious, organised, commercially minded and confident working in a fast-paced environment where discretion, stakeholder management and communication are critical. How you work will be as important as what you deliver: the ability to connect the dots, build trust and create momentum across teams will be central to success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
