Business Manager Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager within the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Directorate.
An experienced and motivated leader is required to support the Chief Operating Officer and senior executive team in the effective management and delivery of operational priorities across the Health Board. This is a senior management role with responsibility for coordinating the day-to-day business of the COO's Office, ensuring key objectives, plans and performance targets are achieved.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership, oversee business planning, performance management, governance, service improvement and workforce initiatives, and develop effective relationships with colleagues, clinicians and external partners. They will play a key role in supporting organisational planning, delivering improvement programmes, managing risks and driving high-quality, patient-centred services.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide business management support to the COO Directorate.
- Coordinate EPRR and operational support during escalation, in line with Health Board policy.
- Connect site teams, Care Groups and the COO Directorate, communicating escalation intelligence to senior leaders.
- Resolve issues before escalation to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Support winter, adverse weather and emergency planning.
- Monitor operational risks, pressures and mitigating actions.
- Lead executive governance, meetings, action tracking and assurance reporting.
- Support planning, performance management and strategic programmes.
- Produce reports, briefings and presentations for senior forums.
- Lead or support complex projects and service improvements.
- Build relationships with senior leaders, Care Groups and corporate departments.
- Manage priorities and provide constructive challenge against agreed timescales.
