Lead and grow a technical service operation across commercial renewable-energy systems.
Myriad Products is a well-established renewable energy business with over 20 years' experience delivering commercial solar, biomass and low-carbon energy systems across the UK.
We've built a substantial installed solar base and an established operations and maintenance service operation across our renewable technologies, and we're now looking for a Business Manager to lead that service business, drive the growth of our commercial solar O&M and establish a foothold in other related technologies.
This is a lead-and-grow role. You'll take ownership of an established O&M service operation spanning our renewable-energy systems, including 14 direct field service engineers and other sub contracted support and you'll have the mandate, backing and platform to build the commercial solar side into a major growth area for the business. The stability of an established operation to run; the opportunity and ownership of building something significant on top of it.
The Opportunity
Commercial solar is now a well-established part of the UK's building stock — and with a large and growing installed base comes a substantial, largely untapped market for professional solar O&M.
Myriad is exceptionally well placed to capture it: an established brand, an installed base to build from, the operational capability to deliver, and a clear view of how to take a compelling proposition to market. What's been missing is someone to own it and drive it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

Your focus will be on growth. You will:
- Take overall responsibility for Myriad's existing O&M service operation across our renewable-energy systems including biomass and solar, ensuring quality delivery and strong customer relationships
- Build the commercial solar O&M business — shaping the proposition, defining the target market and driving new contract growth
- Develop the commercial model — pricing, contract structures and service levels that work for customers and the business
- Own the pipeline — identifying, targeting and winning commercial solar O&M contracts
- Work with Myriad's operational teams to ensure the service is delivered to a high and scalable standard
- Take ownership of the numbers — revenue, margin and the growth of the recurring contract base
- Grow the business to the point where it needs, and supports, its own team and structure

You will have:

- Experience winning and growing business — you know how to build a pipeline and convert it
- The self-direction to take ownership of a business line and drive it forward
- Strong customer and stakeholder skills — credible with building owners, facilities managers and commercial decision-makers
