Exciting Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious self-starter has arisen to join the team at Nexus Media Group. Based in our Southwark London office. You will be joining a focused and ambitious team with extensive growth plans that include several new launches.

The Role

The Business Manager will act as the CEO & COO’s trusted partner, helping to ensure the business runs smoothly day-to-day while helping drive the company’s long-term vision. You’ll bring structure, clarity, and momentum to a dynamic organisation that delivers high-impact content and market-leading events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the CEO with strategic planning, decision-making, and execution
  • Managing cross-functional projects and ensuring teams deliver on time
  • Preparing board papers, reports, presentations, go to market plans, and commercial insights
  • Acting as a central point of coordination between departments
  • Monitoring KPIs, budgets, and operational performance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and communication
  • Representing the CEO in meetings and ensuring follow-through on actions
  • Supporting business development, partnerships, and client engagement
  • Handling confidential information with absolute discretion

Qualifications

You’ll excel in this role if you are:

  • Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-driven
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leadership
  • Happy to switch between strategic level work and "getting stuck in" on the day-to-day work that needs to happen in a smaller fast-growth business
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical skills
  • An exceptional communicator
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with calm and confidence
  • Someone who thrives in a role that blends strategy, operations, and execution
  • Confident working independently and getting projects "over the line"
  • Degree required or relevant professional qualification a plus, together with a demonstrable ambition to progress a business career
  • A positive attitude and strong intellectual curiosity
  • Resilience, drive, and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
