Job Title: Business Manager – Independent Free Trade

Location: Field Based – North East (We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates in the following locations - Liverpool, Nottingham & South Yorkshire)

Job Length: Permanent – Full Time

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, poppi, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As the Dynamic, Multi-Beverage Powerhouse, we are united by a single, consistent goal: ensuring our people thrive.

About the role:

We are now recruiting for a Business Manager, who will expand growth across our customer portfolio, increasing distribution, unlocking new opportunities, and enhancing account performance. Working closely with Marketing and Category teams, you'll bring impactful customer plans to life while building productive stakeholder relationships and delivering sustainable, long-term commercial growth.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Grow distribution, volume and share by improving customer performance and executing commercial agreements
  • Manage customer P&L performance, forecasts and promotional investment to deliver profitable growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Strengthen customer partnerships to unlock new distribution and growth opportunities
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Manage continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop a coaching culture that supports team growth and effective performance
  • Ensure commercial opportunities are supported by robust business cases and thorough execution
  • Work collaboratively across the business to deliver high-quality results for customers and our brands

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Experience within the FMCG, food, beverage or hospitality sector
  • Solid commercial acumen with customer relationship and category management knowledge
  • Effective communicator and storyteller who connects well with stakeholders throughout the organisation
  • Skilled at turning shopper, customer and market insights into impactful commercial strategies
  • Naturally curious, open to learning, and committed to continuous growth
  • Collaborative relationship builder who leads with openness, integrity and respect
  • Simplifies complexity and brings others on the journey to deliver results
  • Committed brand ambassador with a genuine interest in the hospitality channel
  • Goal-oriented and resourceful, with the judgment to make informed choices and handle tasks on their own
