About The Role

Put simply, it helps create the foundations that allow the wider business to operate effectively every day.

As Business Manager, you'll be a key member of the leadership team, working directly with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders across BT and beyond. You'll help shape strategic priorities, drive execution, coordinate leadership activity and provide the insight needed to support informed decision-making.

This is a highly visible role offering exposure to senior leaders across BT, including Executive Committee stakeholders, whilst providing the opportunity to influence strategy, improve colleague experiences and help drive meaningful business outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as a trusted advisor and partner to the Managing Director, helping drive strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Providing oversight of operational performance, governance, actions and leadership team activity.
  • Building effective relationships across Corporate Units Digital, BT Group and external partners to drive collaboration and outcomes.
  • Turning complex business challenges, escalations and risks into clear recommendations and actionable solutions.
  • Producing executive-level briefings, presentations, reports and communications tailored to different audiences.
  • Supporting leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, business planning activities and strategic initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve ways of working, colleague experience and organisational effectiveness.
  • Working closely with teams across HR, Finance, Strategy, Delivery and Technology to ensure priorities remain aligned and on track.
  • Acting as the eyes and ears of the Managing Director, providing insight into what is working well, where support is needed and where intervention may be required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
