Job Title: Business Manager
Location: London
Basic Salary: Up to £47,000
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
About our client and the role:
Swarm Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established St James Place partner practice, specialising in wealth management, financial education, and tailored advisory solutions. As part of the continued growth of the team, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager to provide dedicated support to a Senior Wealth Manager. This is a key role for someone who is highly organised, proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to build strong relationships and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits:
- £40,000 - £47,000 depending on experience

Working Hours:
- Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm (1hr for lunch)
- Hybrid Working - 4 days in office during probation, 3 days thereafter (or more if desired)
Responsibilities:

Business Submission
- Manage and coordinate cases from end to end dealing with queries and delays
- Chasing on outstanding documents

Client Servicing
- Manage withdrawals and drawdown cases
- Client queries and review meetings

Business tracking
- Update and monitor including projections and business issued

Paraplanning
- Paraplanning support including new money cases, EIS/VCT/IHT planning
- Investment analysis using FE Analytics
- Cash Flow Modelling via Voyant
- Supporting review documentation preparation

Project and Business Development
- Business Development & Marketing projects concerning existing or prospective clients
- Refine BD strategy and cost analysis

Training support
- Offering ongoing training and support to administrative team members/associates
- Efficiency review and process improvement
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in financial services administration and case management (SJP experience preferred but not essential)
- Able to manage cases from start to finish and resolve administrative issues
- Good knowledge of pensions, investments, protection, drawdown, encashments and DB/Final Salary processes
- Working knowledge of paraplanning, including new money cases and transfer analysis, IHT, EIS and VCTs
- Confident using Excel for forecasting and business tracking
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases
- Confident communicating with clients, including providing updates and following up on outstanding information
- Some experience supporting, training or mentoring junior team members
- Willing to share knowledge and best practice with colleagues

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Level 4 Diploma qualified or currently working towards the qualification
- Previous experience within an SJP Partner Practice
- Working knowledge of FE Analytics and Voyant
- Previous paraplanning experience
- Experience supporting business development or analysing client banks
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies
