Business & Marketing Data Scientist – Marketing Analytics

Client: GLOBAL ICONIC TECH BRAND

Location: Central London

Pay rate: £54.81 per hour PAYE

Contract: ASAP until 4 December 2026

Working pattern: Hybrid – Tuesday to Thursday in the office, Monday and Friday remote

Hours: 40 hours per week

The Role

We are looking for an experienced marketing analytics professional to join its EMEA Marketing team, supporting products including AI products and subscription-based services.

Despite the formal title, this is not a traditional data science or machine-learning role. The position is focused on digital marketing analytics, audience intelligence, campaign targeting, experimentation, dashboard creation and turning large volumes of data into clear commercial recommendations.

You will be the only dedicated analyst within a team of approximately seven people, so you must be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of analysis and confidently advising senior marketing stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create audience intelligence to identify which customer groups are most likely to benefit from specific products.
  • Analyse why particular audiences may be interested in a product and use those insights to shape campaign strategy.
  • Work with very large and complex datasets to identify meaningful audience, campaign and product trends.
  • Use aggregate customer and marketing data to inform targeting, segmentation and channel strategy.
  • Analyse digital marketing performance across Google Ads, SEO, YouTube, social media and other digital channels.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports and spreadsheet-based analysis.
  • Design, analyse and interpret A/B tests and digital marketing experiments.
  • Define hypotheses, test and control groups, success metrics and statistically meaningful outcomes.
  • Use experimentation results to optimise audience targeting, messaging, channel selection and campaign performance.
  • Identify statistical averages, trends, patterns and performance opportunities.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Recommend whether marketing activity should be scaled, adjusted or stopped.
  • Help the team understand where campaign investment and activity should be focused.
  • Measure whether campaigns are driving awareness, engagement, adoption and product usage.
  • Validate data quality and accuracy before presenting findings or making recommendations.
  • Work with EMEA marketing stakeholders to clarify business questions and define appropriate performance metrics.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
