MAKE STRATEGY A REALITY | ACCELERATE YOUR GROWTH | CHOOSE YOUR PATH

As the world's leading change and transformation consultancy, we're helping businesses move from strategy to reality by taking a pragmatic and practical approach to build solutions that last.

We're seeking a Business Modelling Consultant to take vision to value and create lasting impact for our civil service client.

Please note, this is a PAYE Umbrella contract until the end of March 2023 that will require an enhanced DBS check (due to the nature of work, the client is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974) and will also require working onsite in London 1-3 days per week.

Summary

As a Business Modelling Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic analytical solutions that drive informed decision-making across the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced modelling techniques in demand forecasting, operational analysis, and financial planning to create tangible impact on government service delivery. You will contribute to developing reproducible analytical methods that enhance transparency and enable evidence-based policy implementation.

You Will

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated demand forecasting models to support resource planning and service capacity decisions
  • Conduct operational modelling to identify efficiency improvements and optimise workflow processes
  • Create financial and cost modelling analyses to support budget allocation and spending decisions
  • Perform scenario analysis to evaluate potential outcomes and support strategic planning initiatives
  • Design and implement reproducible analytical methods that can be audited, verified, and adapted for future use
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate complex business needs into analytical frameworks
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in clear, accessible formats
  • Ensure analytical rigour and quality assurance across all modelling work
  • Mentor and support colleagues in analytical best practices and methodology

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
