A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for an experienced Business Objects Developer to support the migration of a legacy reporting estate from SAP Business Objects Studio into a modern Azure-based reporting and analytics platform for a major insurance customer.
4-month contract
Inside IR35
UK based remote role
The Business Objects Developer will play a key role in a large-scale data transformation programme, working closely with architects, DBAs, business analysts, and reporting stakeholders to ensure critical reporting capability is successfully migrated and enhanced, Azure Data Factory (ADF) forming a key component of the target architecture.

The role will involve both technical migration and business-facing analysis, ensuring that existing reporting requirements are understood, documented, and successfully reproduced within the target platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing BusinessObjects reports and underlying data logic
- Document reporting requirements, dependencies, and data mappings
- Support the migration of reporting solutions into Azure
- Work with stakeholders to validate and reproduce reporting requirements
- Collaborate with technical teams on data integration and reporting design

Essential Skills
- Strong SAP BusinessObjects development experience
- Excellent SQL and data analysis skills
- Experience working with reporting and BI solutions
- Understanding of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure data platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering experience
Desirable Skills
- Power BI
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Data migration or reporting transformation projects
- ETL/ELT development experience
