Business Operations Analyst (Contract)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day running of our consulting business.
Working across Consulting, Sales, Finance and Delivery, you will play a key role in keeping the business operating effectively through a combination of operational support, commercial administration, governance, reporting, resource coordination and process improvement.
This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys bringing structure, organisation and insight to a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with business leaders to support operational activities, improve processes, maintain reporting and help ensure the business scales efficiently.
The role will involve working with platforms such as Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, Power BI and Microsoft 365.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Administration
- Support the day-to-day operational running of the consulting business.
- Coordinate business processes, operational activities and internal initiatives.
- Maintain operational records, documentation and trackers.
- Help drive operational consistency and best practice across the consulting business.
Commercial & Sales Support
- Support Salesforce administration, data quality and reporting activities.
- Assist with quotations, purchase orders, contractor renewals and commercial administration.
- Support pipeline, forecasting, utilisation and revenue reporting activities.
- Work with Sales, Finance and Consulting teams to improve operational visibility and reporting accuracy.
- Track key business and commercial metrics.

Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Coordinate governance forums, leadership reviews and reporting cycles.
- Maintain RAID logs and track risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
- Support compliance, audit and governance activities.
- Maintain governance documentation and operational standards.
- Ensure actions and decisions are tracked through to completion.
Reporting & Business Insights
- Produce and maintain business dashboards, reports and scorecards.
- Analyse operational and commercial data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provide regular management information to support decision-making.
- Improve reporting quality, consistency and accessibility across the business.
Resource & Delivery Operations
- Support resource planning, consultant allocation and capacity management activities.
- Track consultant utilisation and demand forecasts.
- Assist with project mobilisation and operational readiness activities.
- Work with Consulting and Delivery teams to improve operational efficiency.
Process Improvement & Tooling
- Administer and maintain workflows within Jira and related business systems.
- Create and maintain documentation, processes and knowledge articles within Confluence.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the consulting business.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in Business Operations, Consulting Operations, Sales Operations, PMO, Service Delivery Operations or a similar business support role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong reporting and analytical capability.
- Experience using Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Confident working with a range of stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience within a technology consultancy, professional services or IT services organisation.
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Power BI reporting and dashboard experience.
- Understanding of resource management, utilisation reporting and consulting operations.
- Experience supporting governance, risk or compliance activities.
Success Measures
- Accurate and timely business reporting and operational insights.
- Effective support of commercial, governance and resource management processes.
- High-quality administration of Salesforce, Jira and Confluence.
- Improved efficiency through process improvement and automation.
- Strong operational support that enables business growth and delivery success.
