Summary
A fantastic opportunity to learn new skills. You’ll get involved in finance, HR, compliance, auditing, systems and day-to-day administration operations while gaining a recognised Business Admin Level 2 qualification.
Wage: £15,600 to £24,784.50, depending on your age
National Minimum Wage: Minimum wage rates
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours: 09.00 - 16.30 and 09.00 - 17.00 would equal more than the 37.5. 37 hours 30 minutes a week
Start date: Monday 16 November 2026

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
You'll help to support the operations and compliance of our children’s homes and supported accommodation, helping with company systems, finance, HR, safer recruitment, audits, records and regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with the team to keep processes organised, support quality and compliance, and gain a real understanding of how care services are safely and effectively operated.

Understanding apprenticeship levels
What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- write letters or emails
- create proposals
- perform financial processes
- record and analyse data
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- emails
- letters
- files
- payments
- reports
- proposals
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks. Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above). (grade 4/C or above)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements We are looking for someone with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths, ideally at Grade 4 or above. However, we are flexible and will consider applicants based on their attitude, willingness to learn, organisation and enthusiasm for developing a career in business operations and compliance. No previous business experience is required.

We currently operate a children’s home and a supported accommodation service, both staffed 24/7 to provide consistent care and support. We work closely with local authorities and other professionals to help the young people in our care thrive.
