About Motorway

Motorway is the UK’s fastest-growing used car marketplace - our online-only platform connects private car sellers with thousands of verified dealers nationwide, ensuring everyone gets the best deal. Founded in 2017, our award-winning, technology-led approach has redefined the experience of selling a car. Motorway is backed by some of the world’s leading technology investors, having raised £143 million in Series C funding.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing scale-up at a crucial phase of growth and help change an industry for the better.

The Role

We are looking for a highly adaptable and autonomous Business Operations Associate to join our team. This is a highly dynamic role focused on solving important operational and commercial problems across the Dealer journey. You will focus strictly on the B2B/Dealer side of our marketplace, acting as a key driver for improving our post-sale experience.

You will combine strong analytical thinking with practical execution. That means identifying opportunities through data and observation, developing clear hypotheses, and then driving cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.

The role is intentionally broad. You will work across teams including Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and commercial functions—as well as partner third parties—to solve complex problems and implement scalable solutions. In this role, you will have consistent exposure to Leadership, including our Director of Dealer Services and our COO.

Motorway moves quickly and operates in an environment that is constantly evolving. This role suits someone who thrives in ambiguity, is naturally curious, demonstrates high agency, and enjoys taking ownership of messy problems and turning them into structured solutions. We’re looking for someone who instinctively looks for smarter ways to get things done, whether that is redesigning a process, automating manual work, or using AI / Tooling to solve gnarly problems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
