Aim high, go beyond!

At Open Cosmos we are solving the world’s biggest challenges from space, providing businesses, governments and researchers access to more readily available information than ever before - ready for the challenge? Then read on…

Working in our Chief Operating Office (COO)

Our COO Teams are the engine that powers Open Cosmos’ operations. This division brings together mission management, supply chain, and quality & product assurance to make sure every mission is delivered smoothly, reliably, and to the highest standards. They turn plans into action, keeping us efficient and mission-ready at all times.

In this role you'll be getting new subsidiaries operational, and building the group-wide processes that turn a one-off effort into a repeatable one. It's for someone who likes turning complexity into a repeatable playbook, and who's comfortable working across legal, finance, people, IT and engineering to get there.

What you'll be doing

You'll be instrumental in the operational launch of new subsidiaries end to end, from implementation plan to go-live. This will include:

  • Pulling together Legal, Finance, People, IT, Procurement and technical teams, tracking progress and clearing blockers
  • Making sure each new entity lands properly inside our governance, systems and reporting frameworks
  • Defining and documenting group-wide operational processes that work across functions and geographies
  • Driving harmonisation so entities aren't each reinventing the same thing, and keep playbooks and SOPs audit-ready
  • Acting as the central point across concurrent expansion workstreams, with clear reporting and aligned stakeholders
  • Using AI, automation and analytics to improve operational visibility and cut manual tracking

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll bring

We care more about what you can do than how long you've been doing it. We are looking for someone who excels in:

  • Creating structure, you build plans, track them, and know what's slipping before anyone asks
  • Keeping several workstreams moving at once without losing the detail on any of them
  • Creating clarity from ambiguity
  • Designing processes that hold up across different functions and countries, not just work once
  • Communicating credibly with legal, finance, people, IT and engineering, and translate between them
  • Effectively managing internal and external stakeholders

In addition you'll be confident with operational data, and familiar with ERP and programme management platforms, NetSuite and Jira in particular and possess strong governance discipline: you keep records and reporting in a state you'd happily show an auditor.

For this role you can be based in any of our locations.

To apply, you must have the legal right to work in your chosen location.

Please submit your application and CV in English.
