About Us
We're Cielo Costa – a 30-person technology consultancy working fully-remotely across the UK, Pakistan, India, Tunisia, and the Philippines.
We're marathon runners, parents, triathletes, video gamers, musicians, photographers, and travel enthusiasts! We care about our work and each other. Excellence in delivery is non-negotiable, but so is being human.
We're Hiring: Business Operations & Finance Lead
Right now, finance and most general ops sit on our CEO's desk - and he'd rather it didn't. This role takes it off him completely.
What You'll Own
Making Cielo Costa a well-oiled machine. This includes...
- Overall business and project health indicators - what we track, why and what it means for our costs, growth, and investments.
- Project Finance: Turn client and project data into the clearest picture we have of where to focus our time and effort - backed by the numbers, not instinct - and support target setting and financial planning across all practice areas.
- Day-to-day finance: Own the relationship with our accountancy firm, cash management, payroll, and any other finance matters.
- Legal: Contract reviews - clients, employees, contractors. Enough know-how to spot red flags, not necessarily to argue the finer points of case law.
- HR: Policies, insurances, and benefits administration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
