Business Enablement Lead/ Office Operations Lead - Permanent

Reading. On-site 4-5 days/week.

Role Overview

As Business Enablement Lead, you'll lead a team of Business Enablement Coordinators who provide proactive, professional and value-added support to leaders and teams across the organisation. You'll be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, solving problems, improving processes and making life easier for colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a central point of coordination and connection between leaders, departments, shareholders and external stakeholders
  • Helping keep the business running smoothly by driving effective information flow, project coordination and problem-solving, identifying and implementing practical solutions as business needs evolve.
  • With a strong focus on building connections, enabling collaboration and supporting a positive employee experience, the Business Enablement Lead helps keep the heartbeat of the business going, ensuring leaders and teams are well supported and able to focus on their priorities.

What You’ll Be Here To Do

  • Define and deliver the Business Enablement roadmap aligned to business priorities
  • Oversee governance and coordination activities, ensuring actions, decisions, risks and deliverables are effectively tracked and progressed.
  • Develop a high-performing team of Business Enablement Coordinators, creating a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure leaders and teams receive responsive, professional and customer-focused support.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between Company, shareholders, suppliers, and external stakeholders, providing practical solutions to business needs.
  • Establish consistent approaches to diary management, meeting preparation, and leadership support
  • Improve communication channels and information flow across directorates
  • Oversee supplier performance, purchase orders, budgets, and administrative services
  • Lead workplace operations and facilities management activities, helping create a positive, productive and welcoming working environment.
  • Support company events, volunteering programmes, engagement activities, and cultural initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardisation across business support services, improving efficiency and enhancing the experience of colleagues and stakeholders.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience establishing and improving processes, controls, and ways of working
  • Excellent relationship building, stakeholder management and influencing capability across all organisational levels
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capability
  • High levels of discretion, integrity, and professional judgement
  • Experience supporting departments or functions within complex business environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence through collaboration and credibility.

Bonus Skills

  • Event management or corporate event delivery experience
  • Experience managing workplace, facilities, or office operations
  • Experience within a joint venture, regulated, or multi-stakeholder environment
