Business Operations Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing, award-winning organisation near Guildford in the role of Business Operations Manager. As the business enters its next phase of expansion, they are looking for an experienced Business Operations Lead to build and strengthen the operational infrastructure to support a growing, people-focused organisation.
This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the CEO which offers the opportunity to shape how the business operates, ensuring its systems, processes and operations are scalable, efficient and fit for future growth.
The focus of the role is to take ownership of the organisation's operational backbone. You'll oversee business operations across people, technology, compliance, facilities and elements of finance, creating joined-up processes that enable better decision making and support continued growth.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building rather than simply maintaining operational functions. You'll be equally comfortable solving day-to-day operational challenges while designing longer-term improvements that allow the business to scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
