Assistant Vice President – Business Management & Planning

London | Financial Services

We are recruiting an experienced Business Management & Planning professional to join a large, complex Financial Services organisation in London.

Sitting within an Operations environment, this is a broad and visible role combining business management, management information, data analysis, process improvement and senior stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will help drive operational efficiency, improve management reporting and provide the information and insight required to support effective decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the effective day-to-day running of a large Operations function
  • Coordinate and maintain key policies, procedures and business documentation
  • Develop and manage operational Balanced Scorecards, KPIs and performance measures
  • Produce high-quality management information and reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, issues and opportunities
  • Lead and support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Support cost management, expense reporting and cost-control activity
  • Coordinate and contribute to wider Operations projects and programmes
  • Prepare senior-level presentations, including materials for executive forums and Town Halls
  • Work across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience within a regulated and organisationally complex environment, ideally Financial Services
  • At least 2–3 years' experience in data analysis with a strong focus on Power BI
  • Strong management information and reporting capability
  • Experience improving processes and driving operational efficiency
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel/Microsoft Office and presentation capability
  • Confidence working with and presenting information to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, collaborative and delivery-focused approach
