Role Purpose

The Business Operations Manager will support the Health Informatics team at Health Innovation East, which delivers secure data solutions that enable healthcare, research, and life sciences organisations to use health data safely and effectively to improve patient outcomes.

Working closely with the Senior Business Operations Manager, you will support the successful delivery of the Health Informatics portfolio through operational leadership, onboarding and induction, business administration, procurement and finance support, recruitment coordination, event management, and stakeholder engagement.

This role is ideal for a highly organised, people-focused individual who can manage multiple priorities, work across different systems and processes, and build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Working with the Senior Business Operations Manager, you will:

  • Lead onboarding and induction activities for new starters and student placements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes and guidance.
  • Maintain operational templates, checklists, and process documentation.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, action tracking, and compliance with organisational procedures.
  • Support budget management through purchase orders, invoices, financial tracking, and liaison with Finance.
  • Coordinate procurement processes and associated documentation.
  • Provide operational support to Health Informatics projects, including finance administration, resource coordination, procurement, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, interview logistics, and onboarding requirements alongside HR and recruiting managers.
  • Manage team licenses, subscriptions, renewals, and supplier information.
  • Manage and triage the Health Informatics inbox, resolving routine enquiries and escalating where appropriate.
  • Coordinate internal and external events, including travel, accommodation, materials, attendance, and follow-up actions.
  • Support business planning, reporting, and information gathering for the team, Senior Management Team, and Board.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage competing priorities proactively and identify potential issues before they arise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
