Business Operations Manager / Fundraising Support
6 Month FTC / 4 Days a Week
Northreach is partnering with a growing biotechnology business to appoint a Business Operations Manager.
This is a hands-on role at the centre of the company’s day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, you will support business development, contracts, finance and internal processes, helping a small team stay organised as the business grows.
Key responsibilities
Business development support
- Coordinate business development and clinical activities, keeping projects, follow-ups and deadlines on track.
- Maintain dashboards, investor and partner materials, and the virtual data room.
- Support due diligence by organising documents, managing access and coordinating responses to queries.
- Improve the systems and processes used to track business development activity.

Business administration
- Draft and manage confidentiality agreements and straightforward contracts, liaising with external legal counsel when needed.
- Maintain contract records, SharePoint and other document systems, including access permissions and version control.
- Coordinate invoicing, expenses, financial reporting and grant administration with accountants and other stakeholders.
- Support onboarding, training records, company policies and the employee handbook.
- Help manage corporate insurance, GDPR processes and audit preparation.

About you
- More than five years’ business operations experience in a biotech company or similar
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience supporting corporate transactions, such as venture capital funding
- Familiarity with legal and contract processes
- Experience administering SharePoint and using Xero
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements
- Happy with occasional travel
