The Opportunity

We are working with a life sciences business looking to appoint a Business Operations Manager on an initial six-month contract.

This is a varied, hands-on position supporting senior leadership across business operations, commercial administration, finance coordination, and general company support.

The role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing several priorities independently within a small and evolving organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day business and commercial operations.
  • Coordinate confidentiality agreements and other standard documentation.
  • Maintain organised document-management processes and accurate company records.
  • Support the management of shared information platforms, including access control, document uploads, and version management.
  • Maintain records of external contacts, commercial activity, and ongoing discussions.
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of presentations, reports, and internal documents.
  • Support contract administration and general compliance activities.
  • Assist with invoice processing, account reconciliation, and scheduled payments.
  • Coordinate information between internal teams, external advisers, and service providers.
  • Provide general operational and administrative support to senior leadership.
  • Support onboarding and wider company administration as the organisation grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
