Business Operations Manager
Location: London, Fitzrovia
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus discretionary bonus and benefits
Working Environment: Office first environment Monday to Thursday, remote Friday
We are partnering with a high growth, award winning technology business that is a dominant player within its sector. The team is small, sharp and operating with real autonomy, and they are now looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager who can take ownership of the operational backbone of the business from day one.
This is a senior, hands-on position within a small but scaling start-up, where you will work directly alongside the leadership team with real decision-making authority across commercial, finance, systems and people.
You will be trusted to identify what needs doing, decide how to do it, and only escalate what genuinely needs leadership input. You will have direct, regular time with the leadership team, who are genuinely invested in helping you grow as the role and the business scale. What you bring is a wide base of operational experience, paired with the judgement to apply it to new problems and find the best way forward for the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
