About the role
Chatterbug is an ambitious social enterprise delivering speech and language therapy services, training and technology to children and young people. As we scale our services, partnerships and digital offer, we are strengthening the operational systems, processes and capability needed to grow well and deliver consistently.
We are looking for an experienced Business Operations & Performance Coordinator to help us turn priorities into action, improve visibility across the business and make sure work moves through to completion.
This is a hands-on, cross-business role for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, improving how things work and using systems and automation to reduce unnecessary manual activity.
You will work closely with our COO and CEO, line manage our Business Support Officer and Office Administrator, and coordinate across teams including Clinical, Customer Success, Finance & HR, Marketing, Commercial and Product/Development.
Importantly, this role has been designed with a clear development pathway towards Operations Manager as Chatterbug grows.
Your first priorities
- Create clear ownership, deadlines and follow-through across key business priorities and projects.
- Strengthen KPI and performance visibility so senior leaders can quickly see what is on track, what is at risk and what needs a decision.
- Identify recurring manual or inconsistent processes that can be standardised, improved or automated.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
