Uptime Institute seeks a Business Operations Specialist
The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for operations support to the Global Sales Team. Uptime Institute provides consulting services to corporations and government agencies with critical uptime needs of their data centers. Our clients include world-wide leaders from industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, government, technology, shipping, airlines and railways, telecommunications, aeronautics, retail, and IT outsourcing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare sales quotes, proposals, work orders, and related agreements, on a timely basis, in response to sales opportunities
- Review proposal requests and related client specifications to determine proposal scope
- Price sales quotes and proposals according to company guidelines and technical parameters
- Coordinate with Global Sales team to understand client requirements
- Collaborate with Technical team to ensure scope is aligned with company products and capabilities
- Support Sales Operations Team in process and systems improvement
- Support training of new sales representatives
- Prepare expense estimates for client engagements
- Assist with completion and maintenance of operational tracking reports and proposal-related documentation (i.e., scopes of work, supplements, terms, etc.)
- Additional tasks as needed to support the proposal team

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in an office sales support/administrative role supporting sales team, providing customer quotes and proposals
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM System: objects, data quality, custom workflows, reporting, and dashboard tools
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ or comparable tool
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to multitask
- A motivation to learn about, and work with, new and emerging industries and markets
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have a proactive approach to work, the ability to think outside of the box, the flexibility to work with individuals at all levels, and the ability to deliver results that ultimately lead to revenue generation
