UK PWM provides investment services such as execution-only, advisory, and discretionary management services to clients in domestic and international markets including UK, Eastern Europe and Middle East.
A position is open for a Business Oversight Manager for UK PWM
The Business Oversight Manager is a key role in the Management Team reporting to the head of Business Oversight for UK PWM.
The Business Oversight Team supports the COO in the execution of a broad range of activities, including risk management, operations, outsourcing, project management, sales and pipeline management, financial and regulatory reporting etc. The role has a particular focus on data analytics and risk/control activities.
Your role
- Ownership of the execution of the Consumer Duty framework, including fair value assessments, qualitative and quantitative testing against defined good outcomes, vulnerable clients analysis and assessments.
- Responsible for the execution of business control and oversight activities including sample testing, data analytics, and review of output from centralised control functions, with the goal of confirming compliance with UK regulatory requirements and firm policies.
- Reporting of results to the COO and development of proposals to remediate findings and improve our ways of working.
- Provide input to the development of the London Branch oversight framework, including the development of new activities and opportunities for efficiency.
- Support the CEO of London Branch by providing regular and ad-hoc sales management data analysis and reporting, including book analysis, revenue analysis etc.
- Support the Head of Business Oversight and COO in the preparation of materials for governance meetings and regulatory reporting (e.g. Executive Committee and Consumer Duty Board Report).
- Participate in periodic reviews and projects, including new products/services and regulatory implementations.
- Manage and develop access to key data/information sources of the London Branch (including tableaus/system extracts and other means).
- Assist in preparation of response to regulatory/audit enquiries.

Your profile
The role requires interactions with many different functions of the firm from Relationship Managers and Investment Specialists in the front office to Compliance, Finance, Operations and Technology. The ideal candidate should be able to interact effectively with these functions and stakeholder manage.
The role has a wide and interesting scope, requiring candidates to have at least 3 years prior experience in wealth management or similar role.

The role has a particular focus on data analytics and risk/control activities, therefore EXCEL skills (formulae) and experience handling larger sets of data are essential.
Degree educated (or equivalent). Numerical or IT discipline preferred e.g. accounting, economics, finance.
- Motivated, proactive and energetic self-starter who takes ownership.
- Detail oriented with an investigative mindset, coupled with strong ability to critically analyse data and produce accurate, reconcilable output. Be able to take judgement.
- Good organizational skills - manage and prioritise multiple tasks across different time horizons within deadlines.
- Knowledge/experience of wealth management services and investment products, as well as wealth management regulatory landscape.
- Excellent MS skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint. Interest in AI developments.
The ideal candidate will have existing experience working within risk or compliance of a UK wealth manager and have a strong interest in developing a career within this industry. They will be proactive and organised with an eye for detail, be able to efficiently and critically analyse data, and produce quality output.
