Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of financial performance in partnership with the School in line with the University Financial Plan.
- Influence decision-making, drive change and foster collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- Manage stakeholder and budget management, financial planning, forecasting and year-end delivery, alongside training for budget holders.
- Provide insightful financial reporting and analysis, including staffing, student numbers, Programme profitability and business cases.
- Ensure robust controls, compliance, value for money and continuous process improvement.
Person Specification
- Degree educated (or equivalent experience) with significant accounting expertise and strong financial management skills.
- Customer-focused, highly organised and able to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines, working independently with sound judgement.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, alongside the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and solve complex problems.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, governance, compliance and value for money.
- Qualified accountant status and post-qualification experience are desirable.
