The Opportunity

Our Solutions and Optimisation team have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Process Analyst where you will support our change and transformation agenda working closely with operational, technical and project teams to understand, capture and shape business needs into clear and structured requirements.

This is a newly created role, and we are looking for someone who can base themselves in Chineham, we also operate a hybrid working policy enabling flexible working.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting into the Programme Manager your main areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Develop and maintain core project documentation and support materials, ensuring clarity of scope, objectives and outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to obtain requirements, map processes and identify risks, assumptions and dependencies.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and continuous improvement of Jira and PMO tooling, ensuring consistency and standards.
  • Develop templates, standards, guidance materials, and governance documentation ensuring consistency.
  • Design, implement, and maintain stage gate frameworks, supporting gate preparation, evidence management, assurance activities, and decision-making forums.
  • Develop and continuously improve change control, risk management, dependency management, and project control processes.
  • Create and maintain project controls, management information, dashboards, reporting packs, and performance metrics to support effective governance and decision-making.
  • Translate operational challenges into clear problem statements, options, and recommendations.
  • Maintain and organise key project information, ensuring consistency, traceability, and version control.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to clarify requirements throughout the lifecycle, addressing gaps and ensuring business objectives are maintained.
  • Support the introduction of structured ways of working, helping to embed practical governance and documentation standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and delivery approaches.

In addition, you will also support the Programme Manager and Solutions & Optimisation team with any additional projects as required.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in your application you will be an experienced Business Analyst ideally within an operational or business-led environment. You will be able to demonstrate skills and experiences in:

  • Designing and improving project governance frameworks, stage gate processes and PMO controls.
  • Strong ability to capture, structure and document requirements in a clear and practical manner.
  • Support the implementation or administration of Jira, PPM or workflow management tools.
  • Knowledge of project control disciplines including change control, risk management, dependency management, reporting and assurance.
  • Able to create and maintain governance reporting, dashboards, KPIs and management information.
  • Understand audit, assurance and evidence management requirements.
  • Proficient in process mapping standards using modern tools and techniques.
  • Confident facilitator, able to host workshops and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills able to challenge, influence and simplify complex information.
  • Collaborative approach able to work alongside project teams.
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple conflicting priorities.

It would be desirable, however not essential if you have an understanding of project management methodologies, experience of supporting the development of project frameworks, tools or templates and experience of working in an evolving organisation with project structures, governance and practices continuing to develop.

Role Details

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Bonus

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
