Role: Business Process Analyst (Lean / Six Sigma)

Role type: Contract

Day Rate: £500

Location: Leeds 4 days per week + 1 day remote

Please note that this role is strictly four days a week in the Leeds office, and one day remote.


Role Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst with strong Lean and Six Sigma expertise (Black Belt preferred) to support a major transformation programme.

You’ll work closely with operational teams to analyse current processes, identify inefficiencies, and drive measurable improvements across the organisation.

This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, requiring you to be on-site in Leeds four days per week. Please only apply if you are based within commutable distance or willing to travel regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end process analysis across multiple business functions, mapping current workflows and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, streamline processes, and enhance operational performance.
  • Facilitate workshops, root-cause analysis sessions, and stakeholder interviews to gather insights and validate findings.
  • Develop clear, data-driven recommendations and business cases for change.
  • Support the design and implementation of new processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational realities.
  • Track and report on improvement outcomes, KPIs, and benefits realisation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Technology, and Change Management.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Process Analyst or similar role within complex organisations.
  • Strong background in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; Black Belt certification highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering measurable process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable solutions.
  • Skilled in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
