Job Title: Business Process Expert

Location: Aspect House, Glasgow (Hybrid)
Salary: From £47,200 per annum + up to 10% bonus + other excellent benefits
Job Type: Permanent

At ScottishPower, we are building a new operations process driven by technology, innovation and customer focus. We are looking for Technical Analysts with a strong mix of technical and functional expertise to join our Back Office and Operational Excellence team.

In this role, you will support the management and optimization of end-to-end operational processes, helping to deliver efficient, reliable and customer-centric services. You will work closely with systems and operational teams to identify issues, analyze performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of our customer journey.

You will be involved in process improvements and new product or service launches, playing a key role in adapting operations to the evolving needs of the business.

We are looking for curious and proactive individuals who enjoy solving problems, working with data and technology, and contributing to a fast-moving and innovative environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the definition and improvement of retail business processes, ensuring a good customer experience and smooth operations
  • Assisting in analysing operational issues, helping to identify trends, potential causes and improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to the development of process improvements and basic automations, aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing manual work
  • Creating and maintaining reporting and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and supporting business insights
  • Using a range of business tools and technologies to support process performance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting interactions with third-party partners, helping to ensure activities are delivered as expected
  • Collaborating with internal teams across Customer Business, operations and technology to support delivery of improvements
  • Supporting the prioritisation of tasks and initiatives based on business needs and team objectives
  • Communicating findings and updates clearly to team members and stakeholders

What you’ll bring

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data or similar (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Some experience in data analysis, operations or process improvement
  • Exposure to working in structured operational environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with data and draw basic insights

Desirable

  • Understanding of the UK Energy Retail market or utilities sector
  • Experience working with reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of data handling tools (e.g. SQL or similar)
  • Interest in process improvement, automation or digital tools
