Overview

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, spanning site selection, development, and operations. Our global footprint includes more than 400 datacenters in 34 countries. These facilities form the backbone of the Microsoft Cloud and are central to our commitment to reliable, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure.

We are looking for a Community Affairs Leader to focus on our datacenter supplier ecosystem. This role serves as Microsoft's EMEA strategic advisor and community affairs lead for key infrastructure partners across the EMEA region, including lessors, General Contractors (GCs), and other critical supply chain stakeholders with an external impact.

The Datacenter Community Affairs team secures Microsoft’s ability to build and operate datacenters by proactively managing community, local political and reputational risk, while delivering meaningful local value to build and maintain our Social License to Operate.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

This role is primarily based in Dublin, IRL, with flexibility to be located in one of Microsoft's approved EMEA hub locations, including Milan, IT, Amsterdam, NL, or London, GBR, subject to business needs. This role is eligible for hybrid work, up to 3 days from the office.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Regional Ecosystem Advisory
    • Build trusted relationships with leadership teams of strategic suppliers and infrastructure partners from a community affairs scope.
    • Provide guidance on community engagement, stakeholder management, social risk mitigation, community value, and local reputation management.
    • Support ecosystem partners in developing community-first approaches aligned with Microsoft's values and commitments through coaching, training, playbooks, and best-practice sharing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
