Project Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates (SPA)

Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates (SPA) is a flourishing business with bold growth ambitions within Expedia Group’s B2B ecosystem. We sit at the intersection of B2B and B2C marketing, with a growing portfolio of products that help thousands of partners, brands, and individuals become successful in selling travel.

Our purpose is to profitably extend the reach of Expedia Group’s brands and engage travelers wherever they choose to discover and book travel, by enabling businesses and people to monetize their audiences through branded travel products.

The Project Manager will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of key business initiatives across the SPA organisation. Working closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders, this individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives. The successful candidate will combine strong project management expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and a structured approach to problem solving to drive delivery excellence and organisational alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex cross-functional projects, ensuring successful execution against agreed timelines, scope, and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, workstreams, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies to minimise delivery challenges.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of blockers.
  • Drive accountability across teams to ensure delivery commitments are met and project outcomes are achieved.

Stakeholder Coordination & Governance

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product & Technology, Commercial, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Establish and manage project governance frameworks, reporting processes, and decision-making forums.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, workshops, and working sessions to ensure alignment and momentum.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, fostering collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide clear and concise project updates, risks, decisions, and recommendations to leadership teams.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Drive consistent project management methodologies, tools, and best practices across the SPA organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, ways of working, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support change management, communication, and adoption activities to ensure successful implementation of project outcomes.
  • Track project benefits and outcomes, ensuring initiatives deliver the expected business value.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, programme management, operations, business transformation, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including planning, risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities while maintaining high quality delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to structure and drive complex programmes of work.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and levels of seniority.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting plans as business priorities evolve.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Experience developing executive-ready project updates, presentations, and status reporting.
  • Highly organised, results-oriented, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience in technology, marketplace, or high-growth business environments preferred.
  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum) is advantageous but not required.
