Business Resilience Officer

Full Time
Derby
(Hybrid minimum 3 days a week onsite)

An excellent opportunity for a Business Resilience Officer has arisen at our Rolls Royce Submarines site in Derby. Working with our Resilience Management Team you will operate across a complex, highly regulated environment with several key stakeholders at varying levels within a number of key areas of the business. As the Business Resilience Officer you will be developing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's business resilience framework.

As the Business Resilience Officer, you will focus on:

  • Business continuity
  • Disaster recovery
  • Crisis management
  • Operational resilience

To ensure the organisation can prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptions.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing, maintaining and testing Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
  • Conducting business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments against all DBU's and Functions within the Submarines business.
  • Ensuring critical processes, systems and suppliers are identified and protected.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of operational resilience strategies in line with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Monitoring resilience metrics and report on preparedness, vulnerabilities and recovery capabilities
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to enhance organisational resilience.
  • Supporting crisis management planning, exercises and real incident responses.
  • Coordinating incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
  • Acting as a key point of contact during business disruptions
  • Delivering training and awareness programmes for staff and key stakeholders.

Position Qualifications

  • Experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, Emergency Planning within a complex environment.
  • Practical understanding of Business Continuity Management lifecycle, business impact analysis, risk assessment, continuity strategies and recovery planning.
  • Good working knowledge of ISO22301 and Business Continuity best practice
  • Strong Stakeholder and communication skills at all levels, capable of translating complex risk dependencies into clear practical actions. Facilitating workshops and training events.
  • Ideally relevant qualifications such as CBCI, MBCI, ISO22301 Lead/Auditor or in Risk Management or Emergency Management or a relevant degree/HNC/HND

  • Hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
  • Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
  • Hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
