Job Title: Project Manager – Intelligence-Powered Digital Review (Consultant / Senior Consultant)

Location: London
Schedule: 3 days per week
Duration: 4 month Fixed Term Contract (potential to extend)
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 plus benefits (dependent on experience)
Start: ASAP

At Pace, our consultants genuinely care about the impact our work has on our customers and their customers alike. We are ‘problem solvers’ who call on our collective experience, knowledge, and skills to support customers to access benefits early.

We are reimagining how consulting services are delivered, taking a human-centred approach, and our work is having a material impact on people's lives.

We are scaling rapidly and we are seeking an exceptional Legal IT Project Manager to join our team and support a high-profile law firm through a significant multi-year transition.

Role:

Pace is delivering a Process Intelligence-powered Business Services Review at an international law firm, through the second half of 2026.

The delivery team pairs Pace consultants and engineers with the client's business services teams and the owners of its core systems.

This role runs the day-to-day delivery of the engagement: the plan, the meeting cadence, the actions and dependencies, and the coordination of a stakeholder set that is largely technical. It exists to give the engagement dedicated project management as delivery scales up.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the delivery plan
  • Run the client meeting cadence: internal project team and client meetings
  • Ensure deliverables and other dependencies are being created, delivered, and approved on time, including data extracts from the client's IT team, risk and information governance processes, and tracks the contract and data-access critical path
  • Maintain the plan, actions, risks, and dependencies personally; there is no PMO behind the role
  • Report progress to the Pace delivery team and the client sponsor, and keep the two aligned week to week

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The successful Project Manager will be able to demonstrate:

Essential:

  • Law firm experience first. You have delivered projects inside a law firm's business services function, or into law firms from a consultancy or supplier. You understand how a partnership runs: fee earners and business services, practice groups, and why the COO, the CFO, IT, and the risk team each hold a different kind of authority.
  • Credible with technical stakeholders without being an engineer. Most client counterparties are system owners and data, security, and warehouse specialists. You can follow discussions about data extracts, anonymisation, access controls, and integrations well enough to record decisions accurately, spot contradictions between system owners, and know when to bring in Pace engineers.
  • Exceptional Project Management expertise. You have experience of delivering a project to move work from one location to another (e.g. near shore, off shore, or outsource).
  • Delivery discipline suited to a data project. You are comfortable that contract completion, security review, and data access sit on the critical path, and are used to chasing extracts and sign-offs through client IT and risk processes.
  • Client-facing quality. You will be the day-to-day face of Pace on the engagement: credible in front of the COO sponsor, precise written follow-ups, reliable scheduling, and careful handling of confidential HR and financial data.
  • Up to date and confident with current AI tools. You use them as a matter of habit and stays current as the tools change: AI-assisted task and project management, meeting transcription and automated note capture, and AI-drafted minutes, follow-ups, and status reports. You run the engagement's administration this way rather than by hand.

Desirable:

  • Named exposure to law firm systems (Aderant or Elite, Intapp, iManage)
  • Data or analytics delivery in professional services
  • Exposure to Process Intelligence/Process Mining/Digital Twin
  • Exposure to Source to Pay / Accounts Payable project delivery
