Job Description
At Leeds Beckett University, our Estates and Facilities teams play an important role in creating an environment where our students, staff and visitors can thrive.
We are looking for a Business Services Administrator to join our Business Support & Governance team and provide a professional, responsive, and customer-focused administrative service across Estates and Facilities.
This is a varied role where you will be at the heart of our day-to-day service. You will work with colleagues across the University, as well as students, visitors, contractors, and suppliers, helping to make sure enquiries are dealt with efficiently and our services run smoothly.
You will provide support across our Estates and Facilities helpdesks, University switchboard, car parking administration, and wider business support activities. You will also maintain accurate information across our systems, organise meetings, prepare documentation and support colleagues with a range of administrative activities.
If you enjoy working with people, are organised and can manage a varied workload, this could be the role for you.
You will provide a professional and customer-focused service, acting as an important link between our customers and Estates and Facilities service teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
