An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for committed and flexible individuals to provide efficient and effective administrative support. We have a centralised support function to deliver efficient, consistent processes and collaborative working across the council.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. This is a fast-paced, varied role where you’ll need strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a changing environment. If you’re a team player with a can-do attitude and enjoy finding solutions, we’d like to hear from you.
While the role provides flexibility, you are required to attend the office for a minimum of one day per week. Weekly arrangements may vary, and flexibility to work in the office when required is essential. The team is based at County Hall, Matlock.
The preferred working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, although flexibility can be considered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working as part of a team you will be required to undertake a variety of general administrative tasks relating to the work of the Child Protection, Professional Allegations and Exploitation services.
- Supporting LADO allegation management and Missing from Home and Care meetings either virtually or face to face at various locations throughout Derbyshire, note taking and processing associated information.
- Using bespoke IT packages including Mosaic, Fiori and Ad Hoc Mail for child protection conference referrals, conference booking, diary management and specific tasks associated with this role.
- Working from multiple shared team email boxes processing MOSOVO Police Environmental Scanning requests, Derbyshire Police Missing notifications and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
- Someone who can provide a timely and confident response to professionals and clients via email, telephone and other communication methods.
- Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft 365 suite) and confidence learning new systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively, willingness to learn and adapt to change.
- Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
