Administrative Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for a committed and flexible individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support to Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service (DACES).
You will be joining a friendly team and the ability to work effectively as part of that team and meet deadlines is essential. The role is varied and fast paced. You may be required to work across different locations and must be able to travel to meet service needs.
Working pattern: Tuesday and Thursday in centre.
What will I be doing (training will be provided):
- Organising and processing exams
- Processing of financial information
- Health and safety tasks
- Responsibility for centre operations
- Supporting colleagues, liaising with customers/learners

Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- An ability to interpret information and analyse data.
- An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
- Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant office experience.
- Enthusiasm and transferable skills
