What It's Like To Work Here
Nestled in the heart of County Down, Rowallane Garden is one of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful and inspiring gardens. Developed from the vision of Reverend John Moore and his nephew Hugh Armytage Moore, the garden combines formal and informal landscapes, rare and unusual plants, and stunning views across the surrounding countryside.
Today, Rowallane Garden continues to be a place where people can escape the everyday, connect with nature and create lasting memories. From vibrant seasonal displays and historic features to peaceful walks and welcoming café spaces, the garden offers something special for every visitor throughout the year.
As part of the County Down Property Group, alongside Mount Stewart and Castle Ward, you'll join a passionate and dedicated team committed to caring for these special places and ensuring they can be enjoyed by everyone, for ever. Visitors are at the centre of everything we do, and we take pride in creating warm, welcoming experiences that inspire people to explore, learn and connect with nature, beauty and heritage.
Working here means being part of a collaborative team that values excellence, supports one another and makes a real difference every day.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
