Business Services Manager – Top 30 Firm – City of London

Are you an ACA or ACCA qualified accounting professional seeking a high-impact leadership role within a progressive City practice?

This Top 30 firm operates from a prestigious City location, delivering comprehensive accountancy, advisory, and commercial solutions to an exceptionally broad business client base. The practice focuses on empowering its teams through structured internal mentoring, ongoing professional development, and an innovative, collaborative working culture.

As a Business Services Manager you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, overseeing workload allocation, career progression, and individual performance reviews.
  • Manage a strategic client portfolio across various sectors, delivering full compliance management alongside statutory accounts oversight.
  • Present key performance indicators, management reports, and commercial insights directly to business owners during regular strategic advisory meetings.
  • Oversee commercial portfolio performance, including WIP, billing processes, and resource utilization across the department.
  • Drive cross-departmental business development opportunities by identifying client service expansion needs.

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Hold a full ACA or ACCA qualification with a minimum of 2 years' management experience within a business services environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing junior accounting staff.
  • Possess strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience managing portfolio WIP and billing operations.
