About Our Client
Our client is a well established, independent chartered accountancy practice in the heart of Glasgow. For over 35 years they have supported a wide range of clients, earning a strong reputation as a trusted advisor and a great place to work. The firm is proud of its low staff turnover and its friendly, collaborative culture. Following continued growth, they are now looking to add Business Services Manager to their existing team.
The Opportunity

- Taking responsibility for your own portfolio of clients, managing all of their business needs
- Reviewing year end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships prepared by the accounts team, and getting involved in the preparation of more complex clients
- Adding value to clients business, advising on growth and strategy where appropriate
- Reviewing and preparing management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact, including meeting clients as required
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and supporting their development
- Assisting Partners with ad-hoc projects and client queries
- Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met efficiently and to a high standard
About You
- Qualified CA or ACCA, ideally with 4+ years' PQE within a SME / Large Accountancy Practice
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, management accounts and tax
- Confident supervising your own client portfolio with minimal supervision
- A proactive, client focused approach with excellent attention to detail
- Initiative in identifying business and tax issues and referring them to a Partner for follow up
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An enthusiastic team player who enjoys mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
