Company Description
Stotfold Town Council is the first tier of local government serving the community of Stotfold and the surrounding area. The Council is based at The Greenacre Centre on Valerian Way in Stotfold, Bedfordshire, and provides a range of local services, facilities, and community support. It works closely with residents, local organizations, and partners to maintain and improve the town’s environment and amenities. Joining Stotfold Town Council offers the opportunity to contribute directly to local decision-making and service delivery in a close-knit community setting.
Stotfold Town Council is looking for an organised, motivated and flexible person to join our small, friendly team.
About the Role
This is a varied role at the heart of the Council. You will look after our information and records and be the first point of contact for IT. You will also keep our asset and policy registers up to date, monitor our contracts and make sure we meet the Transparency Code. On top of that, you will support Council meetings, help the Finance Officer and cover reception when needed.

Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- communicates clearly and manages their time well
- has excellent IT skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel
- can handle complex information accurately, with tact and discretion
- works well with colleagues, Councillors, contractors and residents

Salary and Hours
- Salary: £31,325 to £33,673 per annum full-time equivalent (SCP 16 to 20). The actual salary for 25 to 30 hours a week is about £21,166 to £27,302.
- Hours: 25 to 30 hours per week
- Location: Greenacre Centre, Valerian Way, Stotfold SG5 4HG
- Closing date: 9am, Monday 26 October 2026
- Interviews: Thursday 12 November 2026
- Start date: January 2027
