Business Skills Coach (12 Months Fixed-Term)
The Role
Pearson TQ is looking for an experienced Leadership & Management Coach to join our growing team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
You'll support learners on the Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship, guiding them through their full learner journey from onboarding and initial assessment through to gateway and successful completion. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real impact by helping professionals develop their leadership capability while achieving outstanding apprenticeship outcomes.
The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel for learner delivery, team meetings, and business requirements.
What You'll Own
- Deliver end-to-end apprenticeship support, including onboarding, coaching, reviews, assessment support, and gateway preparation.
- Coach learners to develop leadership, management, and operational effectiveness skills aligned to the apprenticeship standard.
- Assess learner evidence and provide high-quality written and verbal feedback.
- Deliver engaging workshops and learning sessions where required.
- Track learner progress and support achievement, retention, and quality targets.
- Utilise e-portfolio systems and virtual learning platforms to support learner success.
- Contribute to quality improvement, standardisation activities, and sharing best practice across the team.

About You
You are an experienced apprenticeship professional with a passion for learner development and a strong understanding of Leadership & Management programmes.
You'll bring:
- Qualified Trainer and Assessor status.
- Proven experience delivering Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeships.
- Experience within a substantive management or operational leadership role.
- Strong coaching, learner engagement, and assessment skills.
- Experience managing apprenticeship caseloads and supporting learners through to completion.
- Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with learners and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and written feedback skills.
Desirable
- Experience delivering Level 5 CMI qualifications.
- Experience supporting Ofsted inspections.
- Understanding of DfE funding requirements.
- IAG qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Location
Predominantly remote, with occasional UK travel for delivery, team meetings, and business requirements. Travel expenses are covered.
