Finance Transformation (S/4HANA) - Business Solution Lead
Role Description
Join Allianz UK's Finance Transformation Programme and play a leading role in one of the most significant business change initiatives across the organisation. As a Business Solution Lead, you will shape the future finance architecture, influence strategic decisions, and help deliver our global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme, working closely with business and technology leaders across Allianz UK and the wider Allianz Group.
Location
This role is based in our Guildford office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend in person 50% of your time.
Salary Information
Pay is based on experience, skills and location and is part of our total rewards package.
About You
In this role, you will:
- Lead the design authority for the Finance Transformation Programme, defining the future-state business and technology architecture.
- Develop and deliver the roadmap to migrate from the existing SAP R3 and Oracle ERP landscape to the Allianz Group SAP S/4HANA platform.
- Act as the primary bridge between Allianz UK and Allianz Group, representing UK priorities and managing strategic relationships with the Group SimpliFi (S/4HANA) Programme and Central Allianz Technology teams.
- Drive solution design across multiple Finance Transformation workstreams including ERP, finance data, reporting and related technology dependencies.
- Champion a global-first approach by collaborating with international operating entities, sharing best practice and leveraging lessons learned.
- Provide expert guidance to senior programme stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and supporting business readiness for change.
- Ensure regulatory, risk and compliance requirements are embedded within solution design and programme delivery.
Essential Skills
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture and business solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Record-to-Report (RTR) processes and finance transformation principles.
- Experience across SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling, including CCA, IO, PCA and COPA.
- Knowledge of Group Reporting and Consolidation processes.
- Experience of Treasury and Cash Management solutions.
- Understanding of Direct and Indirect Tax Management within ERP environments.
- Expertise in Finance Data Architecture and Master Data Management.
- Knowledge of ERP landscape strategy, architecture roadmaps and large-scale technology modernisation.
- Experience with SAP Ariba and Source-to-Pay processes.
- Proven success leading large-scale finance, ERP or business transformation programmes from design through implementation and operational readiness.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and executive-level audiences.
- Strong understanding of finance processes and the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic business outcomes.
- Experience working within agile delivery frameworks and complex programme environments.
- Experience collaborating across international, multi-disciplinary and matrix organisations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex business challenges and make informed decisions.
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant professional qualification in finance, insurance, programme delivery or a related discipline.

Desirable Skills
- Senior professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or Chartered Accountant.
- Experience within the insurance or wider financial services sector.
- Experience operating within global SAP transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance methodologies.
- Exposure to data and reporting transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business adoption activities.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and digital transformation trends.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage and understanding of AI-enabled business solutions.
- Experience building communities of practice and driving continuous improvement across transformation programmes.
