About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Solutions / Automation Consultant to work with Spark on a short-term freelance engagement.
This role is best suited to a senior Business Analyst, Business Solutions Consultant, Automation Consultant, Digital Transformation Consultant or hands-on Delivery Consultant who enjoys working inside live delivery environments while actively improving the system they are working within.
This is a hands-on delivery and capability-building role. The consultant will lead a live system improvement or automation project while working closely with our Business Solutions team. The projects have mostly an internal focus on system and workflow improvements / automation.
We already have defined project phases, documentation templates, and a lean operating model. The purpose of this engagement is not to design the framework from scratch, but to apply it in a real project environment, stress-test it in practice, and refine it through continuous, real-world learning. The consultant will help us identify what works, what needs simplifying, and how to make the model faster, clearer, and more effective in day-to-day delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
