Role Purpose
The Business Solutions Consultant will assist in growing and supporting the payment solutions business in UK as well as providing innovative solutions for the business across FX, Payment Solutions.
The Business Solutions Consultant is a thought leader, both internally and externally, by actively participating in user groups, conferences, publications, and client opportunities. A trusted advisor, services provider, and innovator to our clients.
The Business Solutions Consultant will work as a liaison between Sales and Product Delivery across qualified sales activities. This individual will work closely with the Moneycorp’s Product, Ops and Compliance teams to ensure clients’ needs are met.
Role Responsibilities
Data/Business analysis
- Work closely with the Payment Solutions Team, Clients, Product team stakeholders across the sales cycle.
- Maintain the company business and solution standards to advise, craft the solutions that win over the clients.
- Strong comprehension of the business and solution domain across FX, payments for enterprise companies across major verticals.
- Effective engagement with CTO, COOs, product owners, BAs, designers, developers and solution architecture on client side.
Project scoping for B2B API development
- Work with stakeholders from all business units as well as third party companies to define and document business processes and software requirements.
- Support business users and management in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of proposed solutions.
- Act as the liaison between the development team and the stakeholders.
- Triage issues raised in development and production.
- Work with the team to ensure that deadlines are met, and scope is adhered to.
- Identify risks, issues and dependencies, log them appropriately and appropriate action to minimise the impact on the project.
- Identify scope for change and analyse the impact & risk of change requests.
- Assist in the creation of test plans in development, UAT and Live.
- Organise and lead showcases with business stakeholders.
- Produce and accurately document release notes and communicate them to the target audience.

Client Support
- Carry out needs analysis and effectively probe and question intelligently to gauge interest and the potential level of business.
- Handle objections; pre-empt them, identify solutions, communicate effectively and deliver to overcome them.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and sample solutions.
- Participate in solution envisioning both internally and externally with clients.
- Provide front line support, knowledge and expertise to clients wishing to integrate and connect to MC payment services/solutions framework.
- Design and develop proof of concepts that align to organizational objectives and external commitments.
- Delivery automated solutions utilizing a rapid development framework such as Altreyx. Will be responsible for leveraging external RestAPIs with third party.
- Responsible for overseeing the processing and delivery of mass payment files for large revenue clients.
Team Support
- Participate in Business Development and Sales activities.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices, working with the Head of Payments Solutions to determine alignment to strategy and future direction.
- Provide internal or external training sessions.
- Be a strong ambassador for Moneycorp.
Business Requirements
- Draft and review business requirements.
- Ensure business requirements are compliance with company solutions and overarching regulations.
- Follow sign off process and ensure that specific requirements are developed.
- Ensure change requests to project scope go through the defined authorisation process prior to implementation.
- Ensuring that all information is up to date.
- Complete relevant reports from meetings showing what was discussed and next course of action.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working with API-driven products, integrations, or platform solutions.
- Interest in technology, foreign exchange and payments and payment platforms/gateways such as SWIFT, Banks, Liquidity Providers, FPS, SEPA, ACH, RTGS et. al.
- Ability to utilize a wide range of development and data management tools such as RESTful APIS, Altreyx, Python and Perl.
- Exposure and expertise in working and dealing with a wide range for data formats, schemas and Structure. I.e. Standard SWIFT messaging formats such as MT940, MT942 and MT103s.
- Expertise in working with data analytic tools and platforms such as MS SQL and Tableau.
- Exposure, knowledge and expertise with FX payment and liquidity-based platforms and services.
- Experience with building and designing data workflow solutions.
- Exposure and expertise in working with FCA regulations.
- Exposure and ability to work with Restful APIs.
- Ability to work with Postman and other documentation tools such as JIIRA.
- Experience in creating documentation for upcoming releases/projects.
- Understanding and exposure to product development lifecycles.
- Ability to grasp and understand new payment rails and channels.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical technical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations, workshops, solution demonstrations, and client-facing consultations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience working with payment platforms, payment gateways, or related financial technology solutions.
- Knowledge of global payment rails including SWIFT, ACH, FPS, SEPA, RTGS, or similar networks.
- Experience within a high-growth, scale-up, or start-up environment.
- Exposure to product development lifecycles and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Prior experience in the UK or European market.
Education / Qualifications
- Degree Level
- Languages: Fluent English, both written and verbal. Additional languages would be advantageous.

Location and Contract Type
This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is expected to be office-based in London, however, we have a flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home.
